How to Connect Airtame to Your Office Projector Setting up a wireless screen sharing solution in your workspace transforms how your team collaborates. Airtame offers a seamless way to mirror your laptop, tablet, or smartphone directly to a meeting room projector without dealing with messy cables.
This guide provides a straightforward, step-by-step walkthrough to get your Airtame device connected to your office projector and ready for your next presentation. Hardware Prerequisites
Before beginning the installation, ensure you have the following components ready: An Airtame hardware device.
The included Airtame HDMI extension cord (highly recommended to prevent Wi-Fi signal interference from the projector body). A USB power cable and the provided AC power adapter. An available HDMI port on your office projector. Step 1: Connect Airtame to the Projector
Plug in the HDMI connection: Plug the Airtame device into the HDMI extension cord, then connect the other end of the extension cord directly into an open HDMI input port on your projector.
Attach the power source: Plug the micro-USB cable into the Airtame. Connect the other end to the included AC power adapter and plug it into a standard wall outlet. Note: Avoid powering the Airtame via the projector’s built-in USB port, as these ports often fail to provide the consistent voltage required for stable streaming.
Turn on the projector: Power on your projector and switch its input source (using the remote or physical buttons) to the specific HDMI port where the Airtame is connected.
You should now see the Airtame splash screen displayed on the projector screen, prompting you to begin setup. Step 2: Download the Setup Software
To configure the device, you need the management application on your computer.
Open your web browser and navigate to the official setup page at airtame.com.
Download the Airtame application compatible with your computer’s operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Install and launch the application on your computer. Step 3: Configure the Wi-Fi Connection
The Airtame device must reside on the same network as your presenting devices to function correctly. On your computer, open your Wi-Fi network settings.
Look for the temporary Wi-Fi network broadcast by the device (usually named Airtame Name or Airtame Setup). Connect to it.
Open the Airtame application. It will automatically detect the new device and guide you through an onscreen wizard.
Select your permanent office Wi-Fi network from the list of available connections.
Enter your corporate network credentials to bridge the Airtame onto your company network.
Once the connection is successful, reconnect your personal computer back to your primary office Wi-Fi network. Step 4: Start Streaming Your Screen
With the hardware installed and network configurations finalized, sharing your screen is instantaneous. Launch the Airtame app on your computer or mobile device.
Scan the local network list within the app, or manually type in the IP address or custom name displayed on the projector screen.
Click the “Share screen” button next to your projector’s name.
To stop presenting, simply click the “Stop” button inside the app interface. Troubleshooting Tips
No Image on Screen: Ensure the projector input channel matches the physical HDMI port used. Double-check that the Airtame’s LED light is glowing, indicating it is receiving adequate power.
Lag or Stuttering: Ensure you are using the HDMI extension cable to position the Airtame away from the projector’s chassis, minimizing wireless signal blockage.
Now that your Airtame is successfully integrated with your office projector, your team can enjoy cable-free, efficient meetings with frictionless device switching.
